Delete your IoTAPS account

You can delete your IoTAPS account yourself, in the IoTAPS app or in the console. It takes effect at once and cannot be undone.

Open Account → Security

In the IoTAPS app

  1. Open Account

    Tap the Account tab.

  2. Delete account

    Tap Delete account at the bottom.

  3. Confirm

    Type your email address. You may be asked to confirm it is you.

  4. Done

    The app signs out. You cannot sign in with this account again.

In the console

  1. Sign in

    At https://cloud.iotaps.com.

  2. Account security

    Open Account → Security.

  3. Delete account

    In the Delete account card, type your email address.

  4. Done

    You are signed out everywhere, including the app.

Before you start

  • If you are the only owner of an organization that has other members, make one of them an owner first (Members → change role), or remove them.
  • Credit left in an organization only you belong to is not refunded automatically; write to us first if you want it back.
  • Copy any device data you want to keep; the REST API reads telemetry history.

What is removed

  • Your name and email address.
  • Your password, linked Google and GitHub sign-ins, passkeys, authenticator app and recovery codes.
  • All your sessions on the web and in the app, your notifications, notification settings and browser push subscriptions.
  • Your memberships of organizations and enterprises, and pending invitations to your address.
  • Your security log.

What is kept

  • An anonymous account record (no name or email address) and the audit entries of changes you made in organizations, so their history stays complete. They are kept while those organizations exist.
  • Organizations that have other members keep their devices, data and dashboards; they belong to the organization, not to you.
  • Organizations only you belonged to are suspended: their devices can no longer connect. Their telemetry is removed within 90 days by the normal history limit. To have such an organization removed completely, write to us.
  • Payment records that the law requires us or Razorpay to keep.

By email

If you cannot sign in, write to support@iotaps.com from the address of your account. We confirm it is your account, delete it within 30 days and tell you when it is done. The privacy policy has more on what we collect and keep.
